Roads to Recovery Programme
I am pleased to advise my constituents that yesterday it was announced by the Federal Government that local councils in Barton will receive 8.1 million dollars between now and 2019 under the Roads to Recovery Programme.
The Roads to Recovery programme is an initiative which makes local road construction and street repairs possible, ensuring that roads are safe and improving access across local communities. These outcomes contribute to the overall economic and social development of our communities and this funding is a welcome contribution to the safety and development of our local road networks.
The breakdown of funding which has been awarded to three councils within this Federal Electorate of Barton are:
Canterbury City Council: 2.88 million dollars
Rockdale City Council: 2.22 million dollars
Hurstville City Council: 1.75 million dollars
Kogarah City Council: 1.25 million dollars
